As we introduced Houfer's and our beginning.... here's the face's behind Houfer's.
We do not profess to know it all and we definitely are in the learning curves of the horse business. But as a hobby farm we are gaining knowledge rather quickly, and that of which we don't know, we have amazing resources and professionals on hand. |
The Houston's live on site at Houfer's with the Ferguson's only but a minute down the road. The barn is maintained and cared for 24/7 with the help of our younger hands Jillian, Josh & Josie.

Our resident guard dogs!
When visiting Houfer's you will be greeted by Molly & Dixie, a sort of 'doggy door-bell' to let us know you are here.
The great protectors.... we don't miss a thing here on the farm!
For your ease, at time of posting, Molly is in the red and Dixie in the blue bandana - but that could change! |

We are pleased of our accomplishment, and of all the hands that made this happen. We are now ready to board. We look forward to meeting up with those that may be interested in boarding with us.... and those that just wanna see the dream too :)
Upon meeting us and inspecting the premises, you will see for yourself the condition we keep and expect the barn and facilities to be in. You will also find us to be a horse loving friendly bunch and will not want anything more than to board with us!

To date, Boarders and what they have to say about Houfer's

January 2007 I started to board my baby girl Ginger, at Houfer's barn and I am seriously impressed!
It's wonderful having five other people that love and care for my girl like I do. I’ve learned a great deal from these ladies and hope to be boarding here for a very long time! The stalls are huge, the food is plenty and the paddocks are easy to get in and out of. You should really come check it out....I could go on more about how much Ginger and I love it at Houfer's.

September 2007 welcomes Ms. Leena! New to Houfers, Leena has joined the herd and is welcomed by all.
A special girl with lots to offer our 'youngins' with her experience and maturity. A gem she is!
January 12, 2008 - tis with heavy hearts we share our loss of Leena. She gave all her equestrian friends 30 years of unconditional horse loving! She will be missed here at Houfer's. Big thanks to Leslie Cornish of Cinch Stables allowing us to share the love of Leena!
